What have William Shatner and I in common? I will reveal this soon. Watch out my posts!
Some shots taken last week during our camping trip in California. Was playing with the panoramic feature of Photoshop. All images have been taken with a Canon 5D MKII. Mt. Whitney from Movie Road, Alabama Hills, CA (some may know that panorama from the first Iron Man movie) – Lens: Canon 85mm/f1.8 Lake Tenaya, Yosemite…
Another video which I shot a couple of days ago. The St. Regis has a fantastic view on Hanalei Beach and the Sunset is really gorgeous!
Kaua’i, one of the Hawaiian islands, is a gorgeous place! I took the chance to take a flight over the island this week. Here is a short video which I’ve cutted today:
Some pictures which I have taken last weekend at Yosemite National Park when I was camping in the High Sierra (Tuolomne Meadows): – –
View from the Parc55 hotel room in San Francisco. Camera used was a Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon 1.8/85mm (image 1) and a Voigtlaender 2.0/40mm (image 2).
Fishmarket in Seatle. Taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and Voigtlaender Ultron 40/f2 at 1/40 sec., f2 and ISO 250.
Some snapshots from yesterday and today. All taken @f2 with my Canon D5 Mk II and the Voigtlaender Ultron 40mm.
Those shots have been taken with a Sigma Dp-2 (which I still own, wanted to sell it on ebay but somehow couldn’t make it yet). Location: Porsche Museum in Stuttgart (no, this is not my private garage ;-).
I’ve taken this picture a couple of weeks ago. Camera is, as usual, the Canon 5D Mark II. Lens is the Voigtlaender Ultron f2, 40mm. The more and more this lens replaces my Zeiss Planar f1.4, 50mm. It’s just a great but tiny little lens and it makes a lot of fun using it. Image…
Monday morning in Munich. Front of my car. Taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and the Voigtlaender 40mm f2 at 1/400sec, f2 and ISO100. I love the details on the pic! Click on it and see a larger version and you know what I mean. Click on picture to enlarge.
This little lens makes some serious fun!
I was walking by the the UN headquarter just to figure out that the building seems to be under construction…at least the upper third floors. What you see is the facade of the building with a reflection of Manhattan’s skyline.
A famous picture! Retaken just yesterday: The original picture has a history: V-J Day in Times Square is the name of the photograph taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt that portrays an American sailor kissing a young woman in a white dress on V-J Day in Times Square on August 14, 1945. The photograph was originally published…
Our hotel is surprisingly nice – expected worse for that price considering that Times Square is just around the corner! Here are some shots of the hotel. All taken with the Zeiss Planar 50mm 1.4. Click on the images to enlarge them.
I have taken 2 quick pictures in my hotel room. One with the Ultron, the other one with the Zeiss. Zoomed into the Ultron picture in order to make it comparable to the Zeiss. Can you tell the difference? Here are the original shots. No development, just the raw conversion to jpeg with Lightroom. I…
Just arrived in New York and took some pictures around Times Square. All shots are taken with my D5 Mark II and the Voigtlaender 40mm 2.0f. …and 2 shots of Mike, the ‘Leica’ dude:
Got this new lense a couple of days ago. Here is a first picture. Didn’t have so much time therefore a cooking picture only – for the moment. So far, great little baby! Sharp, nice bookeh…although not as strong as my Zeiss Planar 50/1.4. Need to make for pics to be sure. I am in…
Camping at Yosemite this weekend:
Construction work all over…24/7…almost like in the ‘good old’ days [exif show=”camera, iso, focus, aperture, shutter”]
A snapshot taken today close to our new home in Munich, Solln:
Found this app on the weekend: Flickstackr is IMO the first usable flickr app for the iPad. I was wondering for some time why flickr themselves doesn’t come up with an iPad app. Maybe it’s that they think their website runs on a mobile browser quite well? Anyhow, Flickstackr is an app which makes it…
Here are 4 pictures of the Munich subway. All pics are taken with my Canon D5 Mark II and the Zeiss Planar 1.4/50 ZE. Settings for all pictures: [exif show=”camera, iso, focus, aperture, shutter”]
From www.leicarumors.com: Leica M9 Titanium limited edition will be limited to 500 pieces. Made out of solid titanium. It will cost an arm and a leg – probably more expensive than the Leica S2 (update: the price of the Leica M9 Titanium set will be 22,000 EUR). The frame lines will be illuminated by LED.…
Fuji’s official website for this gadget is here.
I was testing the Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 in the hotel lobby. They had some very nice lights which mad it easy to test the bookeh…what do you think? [exif show=”camera, iso, focus, aperture, shutter”] [exif show=”camera, iso, focus, aperture, shutter”]
What a great landscape and the Mohr Resort is an awesome hotel!
I was testing my new Canon 5d Mark II with the Zeiss Planar 1.4/50. Some additional work has been done in Lightroom 3 but overall I am very pleased with the image quality. [exif show=”camera, iso, focus, aperture, shutter”]
Found this pic on my NAS storage. Actually it’s a scanned slide from 1994. Still amazing, isn’t it!
